work with me
Yoga Therapy is a widely recognised body-based therapy, that aims to support a whole person, with a multi-faceted and integrative body-mind approach.
Where more ‘traditional’ therapies are talking centred, research increasingly supports the integration of body-based modalities; where the remembering and re-educating of embodied awareness through internal sensing, breath and nervous system attunement, intentional movement and touch, is a vital, missing part in our western approach to health and healing.
As a certified yoga therapist, I offer a confidential and compassionate space for you to turn towards what is arising in your life. Sessions weave together both talking and body centred support; the focus and balance of this is led by you.
I have an intuitive approach to one to one work, drawing from 14 ongoing years of yoga and embodied practice and study, with a deep interest in supporting emotional and nervous system health, and offering women sacred space for pelvic healing, womb honouring and re-claiming of natural, life events like menarche, menstruation, birth and menopause; experiences in western medicine that are still commonly treated as illness; although some interventions are necessary.
Whilst I am trained and sometimes do ‘prescribe' evidence based practices to support and manage symptoms, I have personally found that when we are too fixated on ‘what is supposed to work,’ we so easily lose connection with what is actually happening in present moment; which can have vital wisdom.
My approach to therapy is increasingly shaped by an ongoing study of somatics, a trauma informed approach to healing that works with slow, body centred enquiry, to help process memory in the body that might be resurfacing as uncomfortable sensations, emotions, thoughts or imagery, affecting our capacity to live and connect.

where we begin
Where you are now is great!
A first session is a kind of mapping session, to give me an idea of your wishes for our time together. Some people arrive with very specific goals, and others come with more of a general curiosity. I welcome either, and encourage everyone to be open to what emerges. Follow up sessions unfold organically depending on the focus. Sometimes I will record or write practices for you to continue at home if that feels supportive.
