Yoga and Movement Therapy
Whole Person Support

Yoga & Movement Therapy offers a multi-layered, body centred approach to supporting your life's unique unfolding, by attending with care, compassion and curiosity to the potential root cause of your body's pain and distress.
At it's heart Trauma Sensitive Yoga is a soulful and transformative practice that creates embodied safety and autonomy, so that deeper layers of the unconscious that
have felt unsafe, unseen, or forgotten in the hustle of everyday life, to emerge and integrate in healing and life giving ways.
Whilst yoga classes might help us to feel generally better, not all Yoga is supportive to what is happening in our body-mind and can even exacerbate core stress patterns. Yoga Therapy works to skilfully adapt practices for the individual, through bio-medical study, deeper knowledge of the bodies systems and integration of a growing body of evidence based research around it's healing efficacy.

With an ongoing interest and study in Somatics, my approach to therapy is rooted in my belief, study and experience that our body is an wise and intelligent source, that within an attuned and safe environment, reveals healing medicine from the wounding.

I offer non-judgemental and warm space for you to to get to know what that medicine is. My way of working is gently honest, present and intuitive. I specialise in noticing core patterns beneath symptoms and sitting alongside you as you learn to trust what is emerging.

Sessions include a range body based conversation, movement, breath and awareness practices. I guide you to access your own deep insights and offer optional home practices and strategies to continue with symptom management and meaningful, sustainable change.

-
women's health, especially menstrual and menopausal difficulties

Prices & how I work
One to one sessions are $100 and last one hour. Once we settle on a time, it is yours weekly for as long as you would like it.

The time frame we work together really depends on what you are coming for. Developing relationship is part of the healing and deepening process, which is why I believe in longer term work, however some people prefer a short dose, 3-6 weeks to really focus on one thing and this is also possible.

My therapy days are Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoon, I can occasionally book you in on a Saturday. For those I haven't worked with before, I offer a free discovery call to hear about your needs and see if it's we are a good fit. Contact me to arrange this at ellenaster3@gmail.com.

There are tunnels now in the soil of me, thin channels of recovery—a blessed loosening, a gradual renewal.

It’s unhurried, but I feel the air, the rain, the life coming in
