Trauma Informed Yoga & Movement Therapy & Holistic Pelvic Care™ in Ōtautahi, Christchurch & Online
Creative Origins
A free pelvic workshop for women who long to inhabit their pelvic body with more presence, ease and less pain.

In this workshop we will explore an integrative approach to pelvic healing. You will leave with a more holistic (whole person & complete) understanding of what can contribute to pain or discomfort within our pelvic centre and ways to create gradual shifts to restore ease, pleasure and full, creative range.
I will be integrating aspects of both therapeutic yoga and holistic pelvic care™ into this offering, exploring our pelvic bowl through the experiential yogic framework known as the Koshas, which beautifully articulates the felt layers of experience that exist within a body. These layers are not separate but live in dynamic conversation with one another and can help us develop a more nuanced approach to working with physical symptoms. They include the:
Physical- exploring anatomy, movement, tissue health and day to day routines
Energetic - understanding female specific energetics, stress and the creative cycle
Emotional - the relationship between emotions and pelvic health
Mental - reframing wider, cultural narratives that can imprint on our felt experience
Intuitive - re-orienting towards our bodies deeper knowing & instinct
Spiritual or Erotic Self - reconnecting with pleasure, eros and mystery
The two hours will be guided through a blend of mostly talking and some experiential practice that is suitable for all bodies, even those without any prior experience of movement or body-centred practice. There will be a little time for questions at the end.
